We are looking for a HR & Payroll Systems Lead to join our IT team on-site in Maple Cross. You will be leading the systems strategy and support for HCM & Payroll systems for Skanska UK. Assesses system changes, leads the technical support function and manages the HR systems portfolio. Works closely with senior HR and payroll stakeholders to develop the HR systems roadmaps and strategy. Provides team and functional leadership, including setting goals and managing team performance.

  • Motivates team members through transition to new and upgraded systems.
  • Assesses individual team members’ performance.
  • Leads the support, development, configuration, and continuous improvement of the HR & Payroll systems for Skanska UK.
  • Provides expert input to strategic business change programmes.
  • Responsible for HR & Payroll systems for Skanska UK
  • Sets and communicates team goals and identifies learning and development needs.
  • Business and vendor stakeholder management.
  • Develops and organises the HR & Payroll Systems team to deliver business requirements.
  • Manages the delivery, configuration and support of the core HR & Payroll Systems.
  • Creates a highly motivated, customer-engaged team focused on delivering effective business solutions.
  • Drives delivery of IT projects in accordance with specifications, costs and timescales agreed with customers.
  • Proactive handling of all related incidents and problems according to the IT Service Management Policy.

 

We’re looking for
 
  • Degree in business administration or a technology-related field, or equivalent work- or education-related experience.
  • Solid experience in IT Management.
  • Essential – experience of managing MHR iTrent HR and Payroll systems
  • Excellent understanding of HR processes and systems
  • Experience of agile delivery methodologies (Dev/Ops, DSDM, Scrum etc)
  • Experience of managing IT support and development teams
  • Experience of implementing and supporting HR & Payroll systems
  • Influencing skills
  • Stakeholder management, capable of building strong, productive relationships.
  • Able to delegate and prioritise effectively
  • Commitment to quality and customer-satisfaction.
  • ITIL service management
  • Positive, enthusiastic and flexible approach
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience of HR & Payroll systems used within the Construction Industry would be an advantage

 

Our Central Support teams are an integral part of Skanska, and comprise our enabling functions such as Human Resources, Communications, Finance, IT, Health and Safety, Legal and Technical Services.  As part of this team you will provide the support needed to enable Skanska to achieve its purpose to build for a better society. Central teams are based at our head office in Hertfordshire with some regional business partners based across the UK.
